Working with artboards
This article explains the benefits of working with artboards and how they make it easy to produce ads in IVO. Using artboards streamlines workflow when designing and build ads for mobile, tablet and desktop. It enables creative for multiple screens to be viewed as a single group of designs in the IVO editor and/or Photoshop. From a delivery and trafficking perspective, artboards enable one ad tag to contain multiple size creatives (e.g. Billboard, DMPU, MPU) and therefore reduces the need for numerous separate ads and the associated placement specific ad tags.
What is an artboard?
An artboard is a group of creative assets and layers within a defined width and height container. An example of this in practice is shown below - a Scroller ad template containing a separate artboard for mobile, tablet and desktop. When the ad is live, IVO delivers a single ad tag and the correct artboard is automatically displayed.

Are multiple artboards compulsory?
The number of artboards required for an ad is dependent on a combination of the ad format being produced and where it will be delivered. For example, a campaign targeted at mobile will not need a desktop artboard to be present in the ad. It's easy to remove artboards from templates - simply delete any that are not required
